About Me
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor, licensed in Texas and Mississippi with specialized training in marriage, couples, and family counseling. I earned my Master of Education in Counseling Development: Marriage Couples, & Family Counseling from Lamar University. I am also a graduate of Liberty University's Human Services Counseling Master of Art program with a specialization in marriage and family.
I am passionate about helping individuals, couples, and families create healthier relationships through improved communication, accountability, and honesty. I works with both adults and children and have experience supporting clients through anxiety, depression, and relational challenges. I provide a supportive space for unconventional couples, ensuring that all relationship dynamics are met with respect, understanding, and nonjudgment.
Clients can expect a therapist who is genuine, down-to-earth, and committed to helping them feel heard, understood, and empowered throughout their healing process.
My approach to therapy is collaborative, practical, and tailored to each client’s unique needs. I primarily utilize Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Solution-Focused Therapy to help clients identify unhelpful thought patterns, develop healthier coping strategies, and create meaningful, goal-oriented change. I am also trained in EMDR, hypnotherapy and hold certification as a Prepare/Enrich facilitator.
I believe therapy should be effective, approachable and engaging. I sometime incorporate humor in sessions when appropriate to help ease tension and create a comfortable, authentic environment. My goal is to help clients feel safe to be honest, challenged to grow, and supported to make lasting changes.
